Well hi there Sugers. Today Friends of Suger starts. Can you believe that! Within a few days of requesting that you share your style with me, so I could share it with everyone, I had enough posts to get me through to MARCH. No, really. So from now until then {at least, keep them coming!} every Friday morning at 7am {my time} a post will go live featuring a Friend of Suger who was happy to showcase their style. I encourage you all to get brave and do it. But be warned, it’s addictive!
Our first cab off the rank is the LOVELY and gorgeous Hayley. She blogs over at Our Unique Journey. Is one of my real life friends {now, we met via blog stuff} and has legs that go on for MILES. Plus she’s a naturally skinny blonde. I know, I know, I hate her too. But she loves stripes and often has ‘bark’ off her knees {like me} so I just know you’ll love her. Here’s what Hayley has to say about her style and her path to finding it.
It’s only been in the last six months, just after my 26th birthday, that I have started to feel like I have a style and more importantly feel comfortable in what I choose to wear. I am slowly learning to pick and wear things that I like and not what other people think is fashionable. In turn I feel sexier when I am out because I am not worried about how I look and I can actually breath/ walk/ eat. As for a certain style I don’t think I fall in to anything but comfortable.
I love dresses; but more often then not you will find me in denim shorts and a loose fitting shirt. I love accessories; scarves in winter, necklaces and brooches all year round. I don’t have a shoe fetish, I could count the number I own on my hands, and happily live in my Havaiana thongs or ballet flats during the day. I will admit to wearing leggings when exercising but in my defence I ALWAYS wear a shirt that covers my butt. All in all I am in a really good place with my body and I feel like if I want to wear short shorts I damn well will because who knows how long I have left before it all goes pear shaped.
